Cut It Up: Poetry/Collage Generative Workshop

In this fast-paced and immersive class, participants will switch from writing prompts to collage prompts that build back into writing prompts and so on. By combining our writing minds with our visual minds and our hands, participants can expect to generate some inventive new work. 

Feel free to bring your favorite scissors/exacto, but all materials will be provided. Just come with energy and an open mind (and perhaps a laptop if you'd like). 

Instructor

MARGARET YAPP is the author of Green for Luck (EastOver Press, 2024), the founding editor of Rampage Party Press, a collage artist, and sometimes other stuff. She has an MFA in poetry from the Iowa Writers’ Workshop and an MFA in Book Arts from the University of Iowa Center for the Book. Recent writing can be found in Bennington Review, VOLT, Noir Sauna, and elsewhere. Margaret is from Iowa City, where she lives and works.
