Join us in giving the gift of JOY while also supporting youth poets in Iowa City! Our generous friends at The Joy Project have agreed to benefit youth poets of Iowa City Poetry through the sales of their stunning first issue of JOY ZINE.

All proceeds of the first issue go entirely to IC Speaks, the ICP program that seeks to develop and sustain an inclusive, thriving spoken-word poetry community in Iowa City that empowers youth from all backgrounds to speak their truths.

In the first issue of JOY ZINE, learn from seven people engaged in practices that will inspire you to take a chance. Read firsthand stories of ways that people push back against harms of this world while embracing joy.

Iowa City is a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organization. Your generous donation will be put towards the cost of compensating our instructors and performers, keeping IC Speaks entirely free for teens, and building our poetry library.
