Sarah Elgatian

Sarah Elgatian

Sarah Elgatian is a first generation writer with a lot of questions. A 2017 Best of the Net nominee, her work has appeared in Crab Fat, Beholder Magazine, and the Iowa Writers’ House print anthology We The Interwoven among other places. She likes bright colors, dark coffee, loud music, and long sentences. She lives in Iowa with a small yard and many cats.

Laura Felleman

Laura Felleman

Laura Felleman is an accountant in Iowa City. She organizes a writers open mic at the public library (or via Zoom during pandemics) and serves on the advisory council of Iowa City Poetry.

Carolynne Rambo

Carolynne Rambo

Carolynne Rambo is a mother and beginner writer from Louisville, Kentucky. While attending the University of Phoenix for psychology, she discovered a passion for writing. Carolynne is an avid reader of anything social, political, civil rights or history related. She would like to help society rethink how we treat each other and see each other. She spends her free time with her 3 children, Madi 11, Emiliano 3 and Ramiel 1, and loves to read and write.

 

Philip Styrt 

Philip Styrt lives in Davenport with his wife, toddler, and toothless dog. He is an assistant professor of English at St. Ambrose University specializing in pre-1800 British literature, and writes poetry using the techniques of that period to address contemporary concerns. 

Genevieve Trainor

Genevieve Trainor is an editor, critic, and creator based in Iowa City, Iowa. They are publisher and arts editor of Little Village Magazine. Passions include comic books, stoner rock, tabletop gaming, and arguing about politics. Everything good about them is attributable to wife Madeline and offspring Calliope, D.C., and Thalia.

Lo Whittington

Lo Whittington is a transplanted New Yorker who taught elementary school for nearly 20 years before retiring. Her greatest hope is that one of her students will redeem her career by winning a Nobel Prize or becoming a Supreme Court Justice.
