Ellen Huang

Ellen Huang

Ellen Huang is an ace writer of fantasy, whimsical gothic, and horror. She reads for Whale Road Review and has been nominated for Dwarf Star Awards, Rhysling Awards, and Best of the Net. She is published in over 125 venues including Lucent Dreaming, Luna Luna Magazine, Sword and Kettle Press, Bowery Gothic, Not Deer Magazine, Crow & Cross Keys, Longleaf Review, X-R-A-Y, warning lines, and more. She is currently working on three major projects: a fairytale chapbook, a diverse fantasy collection, and an asexual horror collection. She also likes capes. 

Hali Sofala-Jones

Hali Sofala-Jones

Hali Sofala-Jones is a Samoan American writer and teacher originally from Eatonton, GA. She holds degrees from the University of Nebraska, Lincoln and the University of Wisconsin, Madison. Her 2019 debut poetry collection, Afakasi | Half-Caste, was published by Sundress Publications and was heralded by the “Chicago Review of Books” as one of the “10 Great Poetry Collections You May Have Missed” in 2019 and was featured on the Poetry Society of America website alongside five other collections by Pacific Islanders in their "Poetry & Protest" feature. Her work has been published in The Missouri Review, Blue Mesa Review, CALYX, Fugue and elsewhere. Her poem “Fractured” was featured in the “Poem of the Day” series by the Academic of American Poets on September 6, 2019. She was nominated for a Pushcart Prize for her poem, "An Ode to My Never Crossed Legs," and is the winner of two Academy of American Poets prizes, the Vreeland Award for Poetry and several other awards and honors. Sofala-Jones serves as faculty in the Department of English at Middle Georgia State University in Macon, GA. When not teaching or writing, she enjoys traveling and hanging out with family. Her guilty pleasures are popcorn and romance novels.

Fox Henry Frazier

Fox Henry Frazier

Fox Henry Frazier is the author of two books of poetry, essay, and visual art: Weeping in the Tropical Moonlit Night Because Nobody’s Told Her (Yes Poetry, 2022) and Raven King (Yes Poetry, 2021). Her first full-length book of poetry, The Hydromantic Histories (Bright Hill Press, 2015), was selected by Vermont Poet Laureate Chard deNiord as the recipient of the Bright Hill Press Poetry Award. Her chapbook Exodus in X Minor (2014) won the Sundress Publications Chapbook Prize, and her chapbook Like Ash in the Air After Something Has Burned (Hyacinth Girl Press, 2017) was nominated for an Elgin Award. Fox holds an MFA from Columbia University, and a PhD from the University of Southern California, where she was also a Provost’s Fellow. She created and co-runs Agape Editions, Alice Says Go Fuck Yourself, and the Favorite Poems reading series. Fox lives in upstate New York with her daughter, her dogs, her gardens, and her ghosts.
