:: THIS IS A MASKED AND SOCIALLY DISTANCED EVENT ::

Iowa City Poetry al Fresco is an evening of open-air progressive readings, and you're invited. This socially distanced event will take place outdoors on Saturday, May 1 (rain date, May 8), on the front lawns of homes and grassy fields of public parks throughout the Northside Neighborhood of Iowa City.

These low-risk in-person readings will take place every half hour from 5:00 pm to 8:00 p.m. Iowa City Poetry Advisory Council member David Duer says, “This event will provide a great opportunity to celebrate the vast wealth of literary voices in Iowa City and eastern Iowa.” The 20-minute readings will be miked to ensure social distancing, and all participants and audience members will be asked to be properly masked.

Look below for the full lineup of readers and host sites, both downloadable as a flyer. If you have any questions or comments, please contact organizers Lisa Roberts and David Duer at [email protected] and [email protected].
